In April, CreativeFuture spent a week on Capitol Hill with five of our members to advocate for H.R. 1695, the Register of Copyrights Selection and Accountability Act – a crucial first step in Copyright Office Modernization. We brought Leadership Committee members Richard Gladstein (The Bourne Identity, The Hateful Eight) and Joana Vicente (CEO, Independent Filmmaker Project – IFP), as well as documentary filmmaker Jason Kliot (Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room), and documentary filmmaker Paul Szynol, and IATSE Local 487 Business Agent Dave O’Farrell.
