In July, CreativeFuture hosted a panel discussion with some of the creative team behind Snowfall, the FX Networks series that premiered in the summer of 2017. The panel consisted of writer, director, and creator John Singleton (Boyz n the Hood) along with showrunner Dave Andron (Justified), lead actor Damson Idris, editor Hunter Via, and music supervisor Maggie Phillips.

The panel discussion was introduced by Creative Rights Caucus Co-Chairs Reps. Judy Chu and Doug Collins, as well as Reps. Karen Bass and Hakeem Jeffries. The panel was attended by other Members of Congress, including Reps. Brenda Lawrence, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Bobby Rush, and Maxine Waters.

We also had private meetings with the entire Snowfall team and Rep. Karen Bass and Rep. John Lewis. Rep. Lewis then escorted the group to the Capitol where we had organized a tour.
